Flexotronix commissioned us to create a brand that represents their values, ethos and commitment to research. Our client gave us a relaxed brief encouraging us to use our creativity. Adhering to use of scale as this brandmark would need to be used, recognised and understood at very small sizes.
Flexotronix wanted a brand that would represent their forward-thinking value’s and attract a like-minded audience. As engineers, researchers and academics. It was important that they were represented as visionaries with culture and legacy at their heart!
Keeping our client’s brand values and vision in mind, we explored shape, texture, pattern, colour to create mood boards that demonstrated the direction this brand to could take.
We were keen to recognise their fresh ideas and forward-thinking, so we used a gradient blend of shades to show movement and growth. Exploring different fonts and illustrating various versions, we wanted to draw attention to the F by either creating a stand-alone icon, crest or stamp.
To launch the Flexotronix brand we produced some tactile business cards. Showcasing the brand on one side and clients details on the other we finished them with a touch-sensitive velvet lamination.
By keeping the brandmark simple with clean lines we were able to use the brandmark in any size or position, without losing impact or integrity.
Delivering a brand that was striking recognisable and fit for purpose was imperative, as this brand will need to thrive digitally and in print.

Which means their identity needs to be able to keep up. Flexotronix needed something that represents their business now and is also flexible and ready to pivot in the furture.
