Looker reports: automated reporting saving crucial time

Posted by Lawrence Greenlee

Fox&Bear recently had the privilege of working with Housing Justice, a brilliant charity working to alleviate homelessness in all its forms.

What started as a conversation in the pub between two friends led to a time-saving dashboard created in Looker Studio (formerly known as Google Data Studio).

Housing Justice report on top landing pages and file downloads from Google Analytics on a quarterly basis and were manually pulling the data into a spreadsheet. These essential reports are needed for monitoring website traffic and checking how many times important resources are being accessed.

Using the Looker Studio dashboard, we were able to replicate the manually pulled reports using a Google Analytics connection to the platform. Now, the team at Housing Justice only need to load the link to check these important stats in the live report.

“The automated dashboard in Looker is saving us approximately three hours every quarter and means that accessing our website analytics is much more user-friendly. While a humble time saving, this time can now be put into the work Housing Justice does with grassroots homelessness projects supporting people who are experiencing rough sleeping in their local communities.”

We are really pleased with the work we have produced for Housing Justice, being able to apply our marketing skills to a breadth of sectors, with a small, but positive impact.
